Nature of Facilities
Museum/Restaurant/Retail Store

Client
The Malrite Company

Date of Completion
July 2002

Scope of Work
System design, programming, fabrication and installation for museum audio visual systems; three specialty HD theaters; retail/restaurant media systems

Challenges/Solutions
The close proximity of exhibits at the Spy Museum required special efforts to contain and direct exhibit audio visual system effects.  ETI engineers devised a plan to build sensors into audio-enabled exhibits, triggering a boost in volume when guests approached, and a drop in volume when they moved on to the next exhibit.  ETI also designed an overall volume multimedia control system for exhibit and area audio, equipped with hidden microphones to measure ambient noise, triggering a gradual increase in volume during high-use periods.
