Challenges/Solutions
One of the many fun and innovative features of the Cerritos Library is the undersea aquarium, streaming real-time video images to computer workstations throughout the library. ETI's challenge was to design a hardware and software system to deliver high-quality aquarium interactive system that could be stored and edited to produce "undersea adventures" scripted by kids. ETI's solution was to develop a custom video editing package, based on the Windows Media platform, with intuitive controls that make video editing understandable to young children.
