Mom Thankful for Technology: Stevi Gets a Job at Levis!
Dear Managers of Levis:
I wanted to convey the following message of thanks. Stevie has never held a job before for more than two days, and he has been spending his whole summer doing nothing but watching T.V. and playing video games. He absolutely loves his new job at the Levis store.
When he first started at the retail store, I thought that things would follow the same formula: Stevie would get a job, find something wrong with it, quit, and continue to ask for money from his father and me. He has made it his profession not to work every summer through his whole high school career, but he promised this summer would be different.
He came home the first day from work stating that he loved the job. As he raved about technology and audiovisual entertainment, I wondered what this boy standing in front of me had done with my son.
He said that working at the store was like starring in an MTV video. I am not sure what that means, but it seems to be something good. He said the people were nice and the store had one of the best sound systems he had ever heard.
He also seems to know what he wants to study in college! He said he was talking with a representative from Edwards Technologies Inc. who was doing work on the store’s systems and he found their work to be absolutely fascinating. I haven’t been able to get him to do his homework let alone think about what he wants to study in college!
I thank you very much for contributing to the change in Stevi and I wish I could thank the representative from Edwards Technologies Inc. for inspiring Stevi to want to pursue a career involving the development of technology. Keep up the good work!
