The Adventures of Annie Entertainment
Introduction
Finally, daddy took some time off to bring Eliot and me somewhere during our summer vacation. Things can get boring after going to the pool for the thousandth time and riding our bicycles down to the electronic store to get a glimpse of what's new in entertainment technology.
My daddy loves the movies, so me and Eliot love movies and entertainment too. Daddy tells us that he used to go see movies at the drive-in in 3D and that some technological people can now make theaters show movies in 4D!
Off to LEGOLAND
Daddy took us to LEGOLAND in California, and it was awesome! Let me tell you about the place. It has digital 3D projection technology and in-theater special effects! The characters on screen looked like they were going to pop out of the screen! The scenes changed based on how loud the audience clapped. Eliot got scared, so I held his hand while he watched through half-covered eyes.
The exhibits in the park were something daddy called, “interactive” and there was even a musical fountain. I asked daddy how they made all of this cool stuff and he said it takes a lot of time and smart people. We found a plaque on one of the walls that said a company called Edwards Technology Inc. (fictional) helped make the park so awesome. Eliot said when he grows up; he wants to make parks like this too- in his backyard!
The best part
I haven't got to the best part yet. We got to see the LEGO Racers in 4D! Daddy said he had never seen anything like it before, and daddy knows entertainment technology. Daddy said digital filmmaking was something new to the industry, but this was really impressive. During the race, there was smoke, water spray, snow, wind, and streamer cannons going off. Eliot couldn't understand how it could snow in a movie theater! I knew it was because of the smart people who made the place.
I hope that we are able to go back next year. Me and Eliot really like entertainment technology. Daddy said he would find out other places Edwards Technology Inc. was responsible for and he would take us there too. We are so lucky to have such a cool dad.
Although this story was fictional, the technology that Edwards Technologies provides is real! And incredible!
